Reflexology is an ancient form of healing that dates back several thousands of years to ancient Egypt and China. It is also one of the different healing practices used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Through applying pressure to specific points on the feet that correspond to different organs and body parts it is possible to clear stagnant qi (energy) that may be causing certain health issues or pain. The main benefit of reflexology is to support the body's self-healing capacity and holistically harmonise and balance body, mind and spirit in a non-invasive way.
Reflexology is a wonderful treatment that also strongly complements conventional medical treatments for a variety of problems.
Reflexology is not a "wellness massage" and can sometimes be a little painful if there are stagnations in the body. The effects of it are however relaxing and healing.

My thoughts on reflexology
Growing up I witnessed my mother, Mona, heal and help people on a daily basis through reflexology and other non-invasive and holistic practices. Now, in her late seventies, she is still a practicing foot reflexologist and has been doing so for almost 40 years. When I decided to change direction in my life and move towards a work that makes more sense to me, it became increasingly clear that it would only make sense to include reflexology. Having studied holistic health and nutrition through the lens of Traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda it strongly comes to complete and complement my other offerings.
I'm still learning and will continue to do so, but already have a solid foundation from having grown up with reflexology in my life. I have now completed level 1 in foot reflexology from Altha Luxembourg and while also using my mum as a guide, I am happy to already offer treatments while I continue my learning journey.
